The images below have been collected from field visits I have made to the proposed field work area over the last 2 years. My hope is that they give a sense of the scale of the current issue and possibly a visualisation of what the imagery from the project might look like.

The first batch of images are photos showing the scale of the spread of prosopis juliflora along the Ewaso Nyiro River and in some cases, even on little islands inside the river. On one occasion, I followed a local down to the river to understand how they fetch water and we had to go through intense forest like cover of prosopis juliflora to get into the dry river. The second batch are photos of Mama Simba and Munteli Lalparasoi, taken at Sasaab village where the women regularly meet and sit down to discuss environmental and empowerment matters.
