Dragon’s Teeth

Beyond the bogs and wet moorlands, lies Dragon's Teeth, a sporadic rock formation nested in the Aberdares, unlike any rock formation I've seen in Kenya.

LAMU

Highlights from a short stay in Lamu with Nomad Magazine. Featuring some properties in Shela & Lamu town, turtle hatching in Manda, a tour of old town and the curious cats of Lamu.

Hong Kong

2 weeks of exploring Hong Kong with friends, both new and old. Every day felt like you’re constantly watching a moving scene with everything seeming to always be in motion. Definitely one of the top destinations you should visit if you ever plan on traveling to Asia.

Ndoto Mountains- Ngurunit

Spanning 40 kilometres in length and towering some 2,636 metres high, the Ndoto Mountain ranges are a scenic range of mountains in the Northern part of Kenya. A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to camp in Ngurunit (thanks to @thekenyancamper) which is right at the foot of the mountain ranges. This was the view we woke up and went to sleep to. I managed to capture some footage of them before the rain hit us hard. Highly recommend seeing these mountains for yourself if you’re ever heading down to Turkana or in need of a short escape over the weekend

Explore The Outdoors

A weekend of exploring the outdoors in the Mt. Kenya region with the Nomad Magazine team. Hiking through Ragati Forest, a little fishing action, exploring Lake Ellis up the mountain to discovering the beautiful Nithi Falls.

Super Blue Blood Moon- 2018

The Super blue blood moon was a rare combination of a blue moon (the second full moon in a single calendar month), a supermoon (a moon that’s full when it’s at its closest point in its slightly elliptical orbit around Earth), and a total lunar eclipse or “blood moon,” in which Earth’s shadow upon the lunar surface gives it a reddish tint. It appeared in Nairobi on January 31st 2018 and was viewed best from Uhuru Park’s viewpoint.

Maasai Mara

Small highlight video from a trip I took to the Maasai Mara in September. Shot in 2 days and managed to see so many animals, all the big 5 with a rhino hiding somewhere in the thickets of the Mara. Many thanks to the guides/drivers at Kiboslopes Safaris who knew the location like it was their back yard

Thomson’s Falls

Thomson’s Falls is a 74m waterfall located in Nyahururu, Laikipia County in Kenya. The falls drain from the Arberdare Mountain Range and are on the Ewaso Ng’iro river course. I decided to explore the falls as I studied right next door to them for a good 4 years in High School yet I only ever visited the falls after I left. This was a challenge for me to put to test the skills I have acquired overtime and make something , however small, just something that would push me to go out and explore the surroundings I never embraced before I started photography.

Chalbi Desert

The Chalbi Desert is the only real desert in Kenya. I’d never been to it before and with most of it being inaccessible from the rains in the Northern part of Kenya, this vegetative section of it was the most passable part. This is definitely a trip worth making, all the way to Turkana
